The original research article prepared by students of the Bioengineering department, who continue their studies at our center, from their graduation project was published in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, which is the SCI indexed journal (Q1).

Our original research article “Vitamin D3/vitamin K2/magnesium-Loaded polylactic acid/tricalcium phosphate/polycaprolactone composite nanofibers demonstrated osteoinductive effect by increasing Runx2 via Wnt/β-catenin pathway” was published in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (Impact Factor: 6.953, CiteScore: 8.5). In this study, Vitamin D3/Vitamin K2/magnesium-loaded PLA(TCP)/PCL nanofibers were produced by electrospinning and their osteoinductive effects were evaluated by cell culture. Their effects on osteogenic differentiation were explained by the Wnt/B-Catenin pathway. This study was created as a graduation project by our undergraduate students Yaren Ezgi Baripoğlu and Ayça Arıkan from the Department of Bioengineering at Faculty of Technology. Yaren Ezgi Baripoğlu has been the common first author in this original article. We congratulate our undergraduate students, the other common first author Ece Güler, and the other our researchers Ravana Babazade, Dr. Semra Ünal, Prof.Dr. Faik Nüzhet Oktar, Assoc.Prof. Oğuzhan Gündüz, and Assoc.Prof. Muhammet Emin Çam.
